All city offices in Decatur will be closed next Monday for the Labor Day holiday and trash/recycling schedules will be pushed back one day.
City officials reminded local residents that utility payments can be placed in the drop box behind City Hall or paid online at www.cityofdecatur.in.gov.
With trash and recycling collections scheduled for one day later than usual, that means that the Friday, Sept. 5, pickups will be done the next day, a Saturday.
HEAVY TRASH: Decatur’s second and final heavy trash collection of the year will be held Monday through Friday, Sept. 8-12.
The collections will follow the usual trash collection schedule.
Items not accepted include appliances, electronics and TVs, and construction materials.
