Moving to 4-0 on the season, the Adams Central Flying Jets sit in a comfortable position to chase the conference title after beating Southern Wells by 13 strokes at Dogwood Glen Wednesday.

Led by their ace, Londyn Smith, the Jets shot one of their best rounds away from Adams County with a 196 to win comfortably.

The play from coach Nick Smith’s team was consistent, with Adrienne Johnson, Tenley Hendricks and Lilly Johnson all carding one of their best rounds outside of their home courses of Wabash Valley and Cross Creek.

Adams Central will face a tough test this Saturday against the likes of Bluffton, Norwell and Bellmont at Timber Ridge in the Bi-County tournament, but the consistent improvement by the Jets’ top four means they may just have a chance to win something big.
