The Indiana Department of Transportation announces the closure of U.S. 33 for a small structure replacement.
Starting on or after September 2, crews will close U.S. 33 between U.S. 27 and N. 200 E. Work on the project is expected to be complete by the end of December. All work is weather-dependent and schedules are subject to change.
During the closure, drivers should use the official detour of U.S. 27, State Road 124 and State Road 101, or seek an alternate route.
INDOT encourages drivers to consider safety for all by slowing down, using extra caution and driving distraction-free when travelling in and around all work zones.
