The excitement of winning the weekend tournament in North Miami did not translate into a victory Monday as the South Adams Starfires felt defeat for the first time in 2025, losing to out-of-state Parkway in three disappointing sets, 25-19, 25-18, 25-17.
Reece Beitler led the Stars with nine kills, while Reagan Beitler had a team-high 16 assists.

Charlee Bollenbacher, Reece Beitler and Laney Trausch each had 12 digs to lead the team in the loss.
The Stars are back in action on Tuesday against Eastbrook before traveling to Bellmont to take on the rival Braves on 92.7 FM Thursday.
