It was one win and one loss for the South Adams tennis Starfires Saturday at the South Side Invite. The Stars edged out the host 3-2, but were defeated by Wayne by the same score.
Kade Sprunger suffered his first loss of the year in the second match of the day against the Archer, while No. 2 singles player Cole Hyman finished the weekend with an unblemished season record of 5-0.
The Stars will be back in action Tuesday at Norwell.
