Adams Central defeated Churubusco Tuesday in the season opener for the Jets’ girls volleyball team with a 3-1 win in the Hangar, 25-23, 25-16, 20-25, 25-15.
Emma Hirschy led Adams Central with twelve kills, while Luci Noblitt had eight. Both girls were especially lethal at the service line with six and five aces, respectively.
Hirschy, a sophomore, also tallied 20 of the team’s 55 total digs.
Noblitt, now the team’s setter after the graduation of Mati Henry, had 28 assists.
The Jets will be back in their own gym Thursday against another non-conference opponent when they take on Eastbrook.
