Coming off a loss to Bluffton earlier in the week, the Bellmont Braves came back home to the Back Nine at Cross Creek and beat Fort Wayne Snider by 34 strokes Wednesday.
Ella Hockemeyer played her best round of the year on the back to lead the team with a 44.
“We rebounded nicely from our round Monday,” said head coach Mike Macke. “We shot 200, which is only two off our best nine this season.”
Snider’s Brenna Spuller was the medalist with a 41.

The Braves played especially well on the short No. 11, carding one par and four bogeys in varsity play on that hole.
Junior Ava Billman posted her best nine-hole score of the season at Cross Creek with a 53, while teammate Lyla Post equaled hers with a 52.
“Lyla was back to her form she had in the first week,” noted coach Macke.

The Braves are now 1-1 in head-to-head play.
