The Adams Central Lady Jets traveled to Angola to take on a competitive 14-team field at Lake James Golf Club and came away with a strong fifth-place finish Saturday.

The team posted a combined score of 415, highlighted by a major improvement from the program’s returning core.
Team Scores: Carroll (FW) 311, DeKalb 348, Fremont 400, Angola 410, Adams Central 415, Leo 424, Fairfield 429, Garrett 433, West Noble 476, Central Noble 496, FW Northrop 499, Prairie Heights 499

Londyn Smith led the way with a consistent round of 88, carding 43 on the front and 45 on the back. Smith has been remarkably consistent to start the year with rounds of 88, 89 and 88 to lead the Jets on each occasion.

Tenley Hendricks followed with a 108, Adrienne Johnson turned in a 104, and Lilly Johnson posted a 115.

Sophie Johnson rounded out the lineup with a 125.

One of the most encouraging signs for Adams Central came from the four returning players from last season.

“Londyn, Tenley, Lilly, and Sophie combined to shoot 58 strokes better than their team total at this same event last year,” noted head coach Nick Smith, “a testament to the work they have put in over the offseason.”
With a fifth-place finish against a tough field and clear evidence of progress, the Lady Jets continue to build confidence heading into the heart of the 2025 season.
