Benjamin C. Herr, 48, of Warren, Indiana, passed away at his home on Sunday morning, July 6, 2025.

Born on January 9, 1977, in Bluffton, Indiana, the son of the late Philip Edwin Herr and Mary Lee Gearhart Herr. He graduated from Southern Wells High School in 1995 and went on to build a life rooted in kindness, community, and friendship. For many years, he owned and operated Ben’s Lawn Service, where he took great pride in his work and the people he served.
Ben was known for his sharp wit, strong will, and fiercely independent spirit. He loved being out on the farm, working with his hands, piddling with equipment, and spending time outdoors—it was where he felt most at home. He had a passion for tractor pulls—both watching and participating—and earned numerous trophies and plaques over the years, a testament to his love and talent for the sport.
Ben also enjoyed spending time with his friends, sharing laughs, and always showing up when someone needed a hand. He had a big heart and never hesitated to help others.
He is survived by his devoted mother, Mary Herr; his sister, Jody (Mark) Wyman of Muncie, Indiana; nephews Kurt Huffman and Kyle Huffman; and great-niece Delaney Huffman, all of Muncie.
Family and friends are invited to gather to share memories and honor Ben’s life on Thursday, July 10, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Glancy H. Brown & Son Funeral Home, 203 North Matilda Street, Warren, Indiana. A celebration of Ben’s life will begin at 7:00 p.m., with Pastor Phil Freel officiating.
Memorial contributions can be made in Ben’s honor to the Salamone Summer Festival Tractor Association, a cause close to his heart.
