The Adams Central boys golf team turned in a strong showing at Saturday’s ACAC Tournament at Cross Creek Golf Course in Decatur, earning a second-place team finish with a score of 342, just ten strokes back of Bluffton’s winning 332.
Leading the charge for the Jets was junior Drew Johnson, who fired a composed round of 81 (41–40) to finish third overall individually. His performance earned him First Team All-Conference honors.
The Jets’ depth continued with consistent rounds from seniors Trace Maller (86), Jaret Smith (87), and Mavrick Becher (88), all of whom were recognized as Second Team All-Conference selections for their efforts. Sophomore Ashton Yergler contributed a 102 to complete the varsity lineup.

The balanced effort from the top four scorers kept Adams Central competitive throughout the day, with only a seven-stroke spread separating their top finishers.
With the regular season drawing to a close, the Jets now look ahead to sectional play with momentum and confidence.
