Coming off a disappointing loss to Jay County Thursday in a frantic, 11-10 ACAC game, the Heritage Patriots got a big rally in the top of the seventh inning to turn a 6-2 game into a ten-run victory Friday night at Canterbury.
That six-run seventh inning started with a triple from Cam Rauner, his second hit of the night, and continued with doubles by Landri Linder and Landon Lybarger. The Patriots then took advantage of having runners on base and continued to put the ball in play, advancing runners and taking bases with speed. Iastyn Roe’s sacrifice fly made the score the final at 12-2.

Eli Rauner got the start for the visitors, throwing six innings and striking out six. He allowed just four hits and earned the win.
Max Mirelez came in once the margin was ten runs and struck out the side in the seventh.
Lucas Taylor finished 3-for-5 and Landon Lybarger also had three hits.
Heritage will wrap up their ACAC slate on Saturday with a makeup game against Bluffton.
