Carter Daugherty threw five innings of one-hit ball to stymy the Starfires, striking out ten.
Austin Mikel threw the final two innings, striking out four himself and surviving a late rally that saw the Starfires score twice in the bottom of the seventh.
The Starfires, now 5-18 on the year, will round out their regular season with a doubleheader against Northeastern Saturday.
