Heritage’s most dynamic female athlete, Alexa Walter, was the champion at Saturday’s elite Thrower Showcase at Bluffton, winning the shot put and setting a new PR in the discus.
Walter won the shot put by nearly two feet and was still about four feet short of the throw she made at the New Haven Relays of over 41′.
While Walter only finished fifth in the discus, she shattered her previous personal record of 94-08 (ACAC championship) with a throw of 104-03.
