With less than a week to go, the Bellmont Braves have done just about everything they can do for the 2025 regular season in varsity tennis.
They’ve defeated all of their county opponents.
All five sectional rivals have fallen at the hands of the Braves.
Now, after Thursday’s 5-0 win at DeKalb, the Braves are already NE8 champions and they’ll have a chance to make it a 7-0 conference season in their finale Monday.
The Braves are not ready to rest, however. With all that they’ve accomplished, there’s no reason the team should not be celebrating their first sectional title since 2011.

Bellmont dominated the Barons at their beautiful facility, especially in the singles matches, winning all three in straight sets.
Lilyana Suarez and Ella Ross also played well, winning in straight sets at No. 1 doubles.
Averie Coats and Alyssa Coffey showed the pride the team has in its varsity results by fighting back from a 6-2 loss in the opening set to complete the sweep.
