Need a few tips on buying a car? Own a small business? Then check out some of the programs coming up at the MERIT Center in Decatur.
Following are programs scheduled at the MERIT, 1109 Dayton Ave, according to the center’s coordinator, Patti Hogg.
This Thursday, starting at 5:30 p.m., ProFed Credit Union will present the following workshop: Buying A Car: This workshop is a great opportunity for anyone looking to purchase a car in the
future and first-time buyers, Hogg said.
It’s free, open to the public, and ProFed will be suppling light snacks.

At 6 p.m. on Tuesday, May 20, a class on Flower Gardening will be taught by Brad Kohlhagen, Adams County Extension Educator with Purdue Extension.
The cost of the class is $10 and everyone is welcome to bring a planter from home to fill.
Also on May 20, the MERIT Center, along with Ivy Tech ,will be offering an Excel workshop for beginners from 1-5 p.m. A class for intermediates is set for the same hours on May 27, and an advanced class will be held at the same time on June 3.
The cost is $150 for individual sessions or $400 for the three-part series.

Brightpoint Development will offer a Small Business Networking &, Capital Access Night on Thursday, May 22, from 5:30-7:30 p.m.
Hogg said the Meet &, Greet is open to anyone with a small business or individuals looking to start a small business.
