South Adams tallied nine base hits but the Starfires were only able to push across two runs in a 10-2 defeat at home Friday night to the Peru Tigers.
Two Peru pitchers combined to stymie the Starfire lineup and strand runners. Luke Bauman and Zeke Baumer each had two hits in the loss.
Jax Wanner started the game on the mound for the Stars and was saddled for the loss, allowing five runs before being knocked out of the game in the fifth. He struck out seven batters.
Derek Weaver threw 2.1 innings of relief, allowing two runs.
The Stars are now 1-10 on the season. They will travel to Blackford on Monday.
