Max Mirelez allowed just one hit as the Heritage Patriots wasted little time taking care of South Adams in the ACAC Tuesday, 10-0, in five innings.
Mirelez carried a perfect game into the third inning until he hit leadoff hitter Manny Juarez, but he retained the no-hitter into the fourth with three straight pop up outs while the game was still scoreless.
Heritage responded with two runs and Mirelez issued his first (and only) walk in the fourth. Mason Abbott knocked in another run in the bottom of that inning and it was still very much a pitchers’ duel between Mirelez and Jax Wanner heading into the fifth.

Juarez broke up the no-hitter in his next at-bat for what ended up being the Stars’ only hit, but he never made it to second base.

In the bottom of the fifth, a triple by Iastyn Roe and a bunt single by Mirelez loaded the bases with the score at 5-0 and no outs.
Three more hits were tallied by the home team and Landon Lybarger, the courtesy runner for Abbott, scored on a Cam Rauner triple to wildly end the game on the run rule after just five innings, pushing the Heritage record to 7-1 on the season.

The Patriots finished with ten hits after scoring seven in that final frame. They played defense without committing an error.
Heritage will host Bishop Luers in a rivalry game Wednesday night.
