Facing one of their biggest rivals, the Heritage Patriots got an RBI single in the bottom of the sixth inning from Landri Linder to score Cam Rauner and break a 6-6 tie against the Bishop Luers Knights.
Eli Rauner then worked around two walks to throw a scoreless seventh inning and pin down the win for the Patriots at home.
Eli Rauner ended his time on the mound with 3.1 innings pitched, allowing just one hit and no runs.

The Knights got to starter Tyler Redmon early as Heritage had to manage pitch counts with ACAC games on the schedule both Tuesday and Thursday this week. Redmon kept the Pats in the game, however, and exited in the fourth inning. He was charged with five earned runs.

Luers did not do themselves any favors in the second after they scored twice on Redmon, with the Patriots tying the game at 2-2 without a hit.
Cam Rauner put his team in the lead with a home run to left field, making it 4-2. A few batters later, it was Landon Lybarger emptying the bases with a two-run hit.

Luers tied the game in the fourth, knocking Redmon out and setting up Linder and Rauner to be the heroes in the sixth.

Both Linder and Iastyn Roe finished the night 2-for-3.
The Patriots will look for another ACAC victory at Southern Wells Thursday.
