Heritage ran away with Tuesday’s track meet, held at Adams Central. The ACAC Tri-Meet also included Southern Wells.
Notes & Times:
-Lucas Weber continued to flirt with 11 flat in the 100 and won for the Patriots. He was followed by teammate Braden Walter, who ran a season-best time and was just .08 from his career best. Nasir Martin was third and also had his best time of the season.
-Peyton Gephart (AC) broke 12 seconds for the first time this year and was seventh.
-Marshall Harris (Heritage) cut nearly a second from his time at the East Allen meet to win the 200. His time was just .11 slower than his time in last year’s sectional and just half a second short of the winning time for last year’s sectional.
-Equally impressive as Harris’ run in the 200 was that of teammate Lucas Weber, who was just .01 behind Harris with a new personal best.
-Peyton Gephart also set a new personal best in the 200 for the Jets, finishing a hard-luck third behind the two exceptional performances by Harris and Weber.
-Ethan Crockett set a blistering pace and won the mile with his career-best time, breaking the five-minute mark easily and finishing in 4:53. Only Bellmont’s Maddux Miller has gone under five this season among county runners.
-Heritage’s Corbin Roth was just two seconds behind Crockett, setting a new PR with his second-place finish.
-Preston Moore won the 110 hurdles for Heritage with a season-best time of 16.80.
-Sawyer Thiele ran a career best and won the 300 hurdles for the Patriots.
-Braden Walter set a new season best in the high jump, winning first place for the Patriots.
-AC’s Alex Alana took his first attempt in the long jump this year and finished second with an excellent jump of 19-04.
-The Patriots also got a season best from Charlie Riddle in the shot put. He won with a throw of 54-07.5. Teammate Wyatt Garland was second with a new PR.
