Heritage played from behind for nearly the entire game Wednesday, spotting host Lakeland four runs in the bottom of the first inning before coming all the way back to capture the lead in the sixth inning and win, 7-6.
Now 4-1, the Patriots trailed 6-3 heading into that sixth inning. Landri Linder and Mason Abbott led off the inning with hits and put two runners in scoring position. A sac fly and an RBI single by Lucas Taylor kept the line moving.
Linder and Abbott both led the Patriots at the plate with three hits apiece.

Lakeland then loaded the bases by hitting Iastyn Roe and walking Jaxon Feasby, sending Cam Rauner up to the plate to be the hero. Rauner singled to center and two runs scored, flipping the score on the Lakers and providing the final runs of the contest.
Tyler Redmon threw 3.1 innings in relief of starter Landon Lybarger, allowing just one earned run.
Eli Rauner got the last eight outs, allowing just three hits and no runs while striking out four.
Heritage will play Lakewood Park Thursday.
