The indoor track and field season continued for local high school teams this week and Bellmont took their early-season plaudits up against the other seven teams in the NE8 Wednesday. The Braves had several strong performances in the shot put and also in the distance events.
Notes & Times:
-Bellmont’s performance in the 4×800 should be a good indicator on a really solid season for the Braves this year in that event. The Braves are already 20 seconds ahead of last year’s season best with their third-place finish.

-Senior Alex Schirack set a new personal best (42-07.5) to finish seventh in the shot put for the Braves. Teammate Zayne Roop also set a career high with his best attempt indoors.
