Ricky D. Godsey, 66, of Ossian, IN, formerly of Berne, passed away at 5:26 PM on Sunday, February 9, 2025 at Lutheran Hospital of Indiana in Fort Wayne, IN. with his family at his side. He was born on Monday, July 7, 1958, in Richmond, IN. Rick was a 1976 graduate of South Adams High School where he played basketball and ran cross country. He attended Hope Missionary Church. Rick was service manager for Camco and worked at Camping World in North Carolina. He enjoyed golfing, Indy 500, Duke Blue Devils, whitewater rafting, Billard’s, Nascar, and his dogs. Rick was a throat cancer survivor.
Rick will be sadly missed by his Father – Lloyd D. Godsey, Berne, IN, Mother – Deanna K. (Sheffer) Godsey, Berne, IN, Son – Dustin Sean Godsey, Ossian, IN, Daughter – Holly Corinne (Clint) Carpenter, Montpelier, IN, Grandchildren – Rayleigh Godsey, Finnley Godsey, Brody Godsey, Addison Gehrett, Leighann Carpenter, Clinton Carpenter, Jr., Sister – Janice (Kurt) Waugh, Berne, IN, and Sister – Sheri (Doug) Casper, Auburn, IN.
Family and friends may gather to share and remember at Downing & Glancy Funeral Home located at 100 N Washington Street Geneva on Thursday, February 13, 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
A service to celebrate Rick’s life will be at Downing & Glancy Funeral Home at 11:00 AM on Friday, February 14, 2025 with Barry Crosbie officiating. Interment will follow in the West Lawn Cemetery in Geneva.
