The Bellmont Braves have moved to within one game of the outright NE8 title and the Bluffton Tigers finished off their unbeaten ACAC regular season crown with an 86-point effort at home against lowly Heritage.
It all leads up to the final week of the regular season and Sunday’s draw by the IHSAA to set the local sectional fields.

-Bellmont’s only real scoring contributions came from Ashley and Emily Bleke, but it was still enough for the Braves to grind out a really tough game at Huntington North Friday night.
Freshman Ashley Bleke had buckets in all four quarters to lead the Braves with 16, while sister and senior Emily Bleke scored in all four to finish with eleven.
Mary Bleke was the only other player on the team with a field goal. She finished with four points. Gwen Laurent knocked down two fourth-quarter free throws for the only other points on the team.
