It was a tough road assignment for the Heritage Patriots coming off a dominating win over ACAC rival South Adams, playing at a tough SAC school like Northrop.
The Patriots led throughout the game, but a three-point showing in the final eight minutes was enough for the team to cough up the lead and drop their third game of the year.
Heritage led 23-20 at halftime and 36-33 going into the final quarter, but it was cold shooting that led to the loss.
Senior Landon Lybarger led all scorers in the game with 14 points, knocking down four threes and opening up shots for Taurean Brown and Lantae Cassel, who had ten and eight points, respectively.
James Browning led Northrop with 11 points.
Heritage won the rebounding count, 26-24.
Despite the tough loss, the Patriots still wrapped up the first segment of their season with a solid start, turning some heads and drawing some attention to the program with a 5-3 start.
The team will take two full weeks off before jumping back on the court at the RaiderDome against Southern Wells on January 11th.
