Adam P. Oszakiewski, former manager of a Decatur manufacturing plant, is currently serving a sentence at the Allen County Community Control for exposing himself to a minor.
Oszakiewski was sentenced in September after signing a guilty plea agreement saying he performed a sexual conduct act in the presence of a minor, a Level 6 Felony.
He was given a two-year and 183-day sentence with two years and 183 days suspended. The agreement states that the 183 days will be served at Allen County Community Control and two years will be served on active adult probation.
Oszakiewski, 42, fondled himself in front of a 10-year-old in a public restroom in a restaurant at Glenbrook Square in Fort Wayne in October of 2023.
The boy ran out of the restroom and told his mother while Oszakiewski left the scene. He was arrested later in Decatur.
Oszakiewski, a registered sex offender in California, was previously convicted on a sexual exploitation of a child charge in Kansas in 2017.
In response to provide alternative sentencing to incarceration to mitigate overcrowding in local jails by providing stable residential housing, Allen County Community Control says it opened the doors to Community Corrections’ Residential Services (CCRS) in Fort Wayne in August of 2020.
CCRS said it serves as an alternative to incarceration for moderate to high-risk post-conviction felony individuals ordered by the Allen circuit or superior courts, and direct placement as a sanction or alternative to revocation and incarceration.
It has the capacity to house 230 individuals in 191 male beds and 39 female beds.
