Carmel narrowly edged Concordia Lutheran for the girls state championship and Bloomington North captured the team title in the boys’ race at Saturday’s IHSAA State Finals in Terre Haute.


Adams Central’s Madison Gerber ran a great race and finished her career in style – mid-pack in the state championship 5K.

South Adams junior Dakota Sprunger turned in another sub-17 race and finished his season strong in a talented pack of runners.
