Area veterans are invited to attend a Veteran’s Day Program at Bellmont High School in the Erekson Theatre on Friday, November 8th. All guests are asked to arrive by 1:45 p.m. through the main High School entrance to be seated prior to the program’s start. The program will begin at 2:00 p.m.
The program will include a reading from a Bellmont History student, a choir performance by the Brave Generation, the announcement of the VFW essay contest winners, and a presentation of colors by American Legion Post 43.
This year’s featured speaker is 2020 Bellmont High School Alumni, Sergeant Kyle Lawson. He currently serves with the 2nd Battalion 134th Infantry Airborne in the Indiana Army National Guard. During his time at Bellmont, he was a member of the Wrestling, Cross Country, and Track and Field teams, Student Council President, National Honor Society. Lawson recently spent about a year on a tour of duty in Kenya.
