Adams Central’s Madison Gerber will represent Z-Land at next week’s Cross Country State Finals after her 23rd-place finish earned her another 5K in a Jet uniform.
Gerber’s time was one of the few that was faster than the week before, as she ran a 19:19, five seconds better than her time at Taylor last week. Gerber only had one better 5K time this year and that came way back in early September.
Another ACAC runner, Abigail Ramseyer of Bluffton, will join Gerber in Terre Haute after she came in five seconds faster than the last state qualifier.
Bellmont’s Abigail Rudy trimmed 22 seconds from her sectional race and finished in 90th place as the top finisher for the Braves.
Adalynn Watson was 80th with a 21:13 for the Starfires.
