The Adams Central Flying Jets already had a share of the ACAC crown, but there was no doubt left after Friday’s game at Woodlan as the visitors came in and used typical smashmouth football to run over the Warriors, 42-6.
The win streak for the Jets in the conference now stands at 25 and the program has won the last four conference titles, leaving the seniors on this year’s team with a perfect record in their time in uniform in the ACAC.

The two teams combined for 600 yards of rushing, with the Jets doubling up the hosts on the ground.
A couple of early touchdowns in the first half gave the visitors a 14-0 lead and Jamison Roach carried it in to the end zone midway through the second quarter, giving the Jets a three-touchdown lead going into halftime.

Woodlan got on the board with a score in the third quarter, but the Jets answered back with three touchdowns, triggering a running clock with three minutes to go when freshman Thomas Laughlin scored on a 71-yard run.

Five different rushers for the Jets had at least 65 yards, with Aaron Hirschy leading the team with 98.

Cam Fravel picked up a sack and three more tackles for loss against Ty Louden and the Woodlan offense.

The Jets will turn around and play at Bluffton next week in a rematch to see who will advance in the 2A sectional. That game can be heard live on WZBD, 92.7 FM as part of our tripleheader of sectional games.
