Bellmont allowed eight first-half touchdowns and lost to DeKalb Friday, 58-7.

Caiden Hinkle (#21, shown above) ran rampant over the Bellmont defense, scoring six touchdowns as the Barons gained 346 yards rushing on the night.
Baron QB Will Weber threw just three passes, connecting on all of them for 57 yards and one score – a first-quarter TD to Drew Dahlberg.

Bellmont scored a consolation prize with a 42-yard touchdown catch by Will Franze on a pass by Easton Curtis.

Outside of the completion to Franze for the score, the Braves had nine yards passing and -15 yards rushing on the night.
DeKalb forced three turnovers, picking off Curtis twice and Daniel Selking once.
Curtis was 2 of 12 for 50 yards, while Selking was 1 of 9 for one yard.

The Braves did not have a player with positive rushing yards against the tough DeKalb defense.
Oliver Werling had a 46-yard kickoff return for the top special teams play for the Braves.
