Bluffton edged Hamilton Heights in the boys’ race at Saturday’s Bluffton Invite, while the Huskies dominated the girls’ competition with the help of individual champion Allie Bushey.
South Adams was third on the girls’ side. Ava Kinsey turned in her best performance of the season with an eighth-place finish for the Starfires.
Jolena Beckman and Emily High each ran season bests for the Heritage Patriots in the race.

Bluffton goes 1-2 in boys’ race
Dakota Sprunger finished in under 17 minutes for the second time this year and Wyatt Mann ran his best time of the season, finishing 20 seconds and just one spot behind his teammate.
Deacon Bierbaum and Carson Laux ran season bests for the Stars, as well.
Corban Roth’s time for Heritage was the best performance time-wise since a month ago in Marion. He finished in eighth.
