Adams Central dominated the first quarter at home Friday night against lowly Southern Wells, scoring 48 points before taking the proverbial foot off the gas for the rest of the contest and cruising to a 55-0 ACAC victory.
Aaron Hirschy touched the ball twice and went for scores both time, running for 40 and 53-yard scores to lead the offensive attack.

The Jets’ defense also got into the act when Jaret Smith picked off a Lyric Maddox pass less than a minute after the home team had taken a 21-0 lead. Smith took it to the house for a 44-yard pick-six.

Jamison Roach and Matt Heiser also had two scores for the Jets.

Adams Central finished with 325 yards rushing.

Roach completed both of his passing attempts, with Braylend Reber making both catches and one going for a 33-yard score.

The Jets will host Bluffton next week with a chance to clinch the conference title with a victory.
