
Sharon Kay Keller, 79, of Decatur, IN passed away at her residence on Wednesday evening, October 2, 2024. Sharon was born to the late Harry D. and Mary J. (Shaffer) Reinhart on September 1, 1945 in Decatur. Sharon married John R. Keller on December 5, 1980.
Sharon was a parishioner of St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church and a member of the Women of St. Mary’s. She retired in 2004 from Bluffton Motor Works after 13 years of service. Sharon enjoyed gardening, cooking, playing pinochle, baking, spending time with her family and her dog Rosie.
She is survived by her husband of 43 years John R. Keller of Decatur; 4 daughters, Debra Lambert, “Dee Dee” Souder, Shellie (Brent Hockemeyer) Chrisman and Dawn (Rodney) Miller all of Decatur; 4 brothers, Darry (Cynda) Reinhart of Hoagland, Rex (Connie) Reinhart of Monroeville, Ken (Vickie) Reinhart of Decatur and Steve Reinhart of Tennessee; 2 sisters, Rita (Ron) Stetler of Willshire, OH and Brenda (James) Mowery of Decatur; 3 sisters-in-law, Sharon (Tom) Ellsworth of Portland, Jane (Terry Joe) Alberson of Decatur and Marge (Kevin) Glant of Decatur; 9 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
Sharon is preceded in death by a son-in-law, Alvin Souder; 2 brothers, Donnie and Ricky Reinhart and a sister Linda Reinhart.
Visitation will be from 3:00-5:00 and 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Monday, October 7, 2024 at Haggard-Hirschy & Zelt Funeral Home, with the Reciting of the Holy Rosary at 2:30 p.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 8, 2024 at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church with Fr. David Ruppert officiating. Calling will also be 1 hour prior to Mass from 9:00-10:00 a.m. in the St. Mary’s Parish Hall. Burial will immediately after mass in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
Preferred Memorials are to Cancer Services of Northeast Indiana or Heart-to-Heart Hospice NE Indiana.
