A steering committee will soon formally recommend hiring an Indianapolis based firm to help write a new comprehensive plan for land use in Adams County.
County Commissioner Steve Bailey is a member of the steering committee that interviewed prospective firms to develop the plan. he spoke with WZBD’s Ed Thurman about the process and about the firm they are about to hire…
Bailey said that federal American Relief Plan money will likely be used in part to hire the firm to write the county’s new vision plan. The final bill to hire the firm will be around $175,000.
Meanwhile, it may be difficult to find a parking spot around the Adams County Government Service Center in Decatur later this week. Streets around the center are scheduled to be paved on Thursday and Friday, weather permitting.
Streets around the Government Service Center have been milled in preparation of the paving work, and no parking signs will be posted to warn motorists. It’s hoped that the paving around the center can be completed in just 1-2 days.
