Lily Oburn’s medalist round of 40 was good enough for the East Noble Knights to cruise to victory on the back nine at Cross Creek Wednesday night.
Winning the match by 30 strokes, the Knights are now 11-3 on the year, while Bellmont dropped to 3-7.
There were, however, decent performances by several Braves ahead of their NE8 meet on the same course Saturday.
Morgan Huss’s round of 48 was her best on the back nine this year. She carded her first birdie of the season with a 4 on the 18th hole.

Ava Billman’s round on the back nine was significantly better than any round she had played on the Biggs-Kreigh courses all season.

“We keep working on getting better,” commented head coach Mike Macke, who noted that the score of 207 was one of the better rounds the Braves have put together. “I like the effort and the attitude.”
