It was a three-way split for medalist honors at the ACAC match between Bluffton and South Adams Tuesday, with Emma Schwartz, Eve Corkwell and Julia Arnold all shooting 49s as the Tigers beat the Stars, 195-212.
As the season barrels toward the sectional in just more than two weeks, the matches are coming fast and often.
“This is the part of the season where the busy golf schedule starts to affect the girls’ mental and physical strength,” noted SA head coach Chris Toledo. “It showed tonight.”

Schwartz and Corkwell took advantage of playing their home course to earn their medalist split, although all of the girls were familiar with the course, having played all 18 holes recently in the Bi-County tournament.
The Starfires are back in action for another ACAC match against Southern Wells at Wabash Valley.

“The girls are starting to strike the ball better, but they need to learn to stay out of trouble in the hazards,” said Toledo of his team.
Kendall Minger shot one of her best rounds of the season with a 53 for the Starfires.
