Madison Gerber’s top time of the year put her directly in the mix in Saturday’s open event, hosted by Taylor University. She finished sixth as an individual and the Jets took ninth of 13 teams.
Gerber finished in 19:29 and was at roughly the same pace as a few girls in front of her. Only Homestead’s Caterina Perego and Lucy Kramer were way out in front of the field.
The Jets were without Addison Gilbert in the race.
Madison Hamilton finished in 21:48, within a second of last week’s time.
