The Bluffton Tigers made a strong showing in the boys’ 5K at the Taylor University Trojan XC Opener Saturday.
Levi Johns and Jude Baumgartner finished ten seconds apart just after the 17-minute mark to make the Top 11. The Tigers barely missed out on third place, which went to Pendleton Heights.
Adams Central got a nice finish by Ethan Crockett, who cut 33 seconds from his time last Saturday and was the first Jet across the line.
Dakota Sprunger led the way for the South Adams Starfires with a 13th-place finish, just behind Baumgartner.
