Wyatt Turner finished first in 16:30 and his Tiger teammates celebrated the team title Saturday at the opening Norwell XC Invitational, winning with a score of just 33 points and four finishers in the top 10.
Z-Land teams enjoyed success at the meet, with Bellmont beating out Adams Central for fourth place in the team standings with a great run by Hayden Whittenbarger. The junior finished in tenth place in 18:10.8.
The Jets were led by an impressive sub-18 time from Trevor Schwartz, who finished seventh in 17:47.2.
Corban Roth was the top runner for Heritage, finishing 20th in 19:01.8.
Bellmont will travel across the state line to Celina next weekend for their meet, while Heritage will be running at the site of the former Elmhurst High School. Adams Central will run at Eastbrook on the 24th.
