The links at Wabash Valley were friendly to the South Adams Starfires as they picked up a victory in their ACAC opener in front of a nice crowd on a beautiful night, beating the Woodlan Warriors by a score of 204 to 227.
The Starfire No. 1, Julia Arnold, played her career-best round on her home course and finished with medalist honors and a 40.

“The girls showed me that they can compete,” head coach Chris Toledo told WZBD. “And the JV is off and running. It was good to see a lot of fans at the course from both teams.”
Toledo also noted that his No. 4 and No. 5, Kendall Minger and Nora Ringger, each shot personal best rounds on the night.
The Stars are right back in action Tuesday night at Wabash Valley against interstate rival, Fort Recovery.
