PRESS RELEASE

The Adams County Community Foundation announced this week that the Adams County Highway Department was awarded a grant for personal voltage detectors for employees. The department is often called out during storms for downed and leaning trees along county roads. The safety devices will keep the Adams County Highway workers safe as the detectors will identify live power lines that may not be readily visible in the areas they need to work.
Brad Yoder, Supervisor and Grant writer for Adams County Highway Department, was very grateful to the ACCF for providing this support.
Tony Currie, ACCF grants committee member, noted that the ACCF is very encouraging of the support for this safety device and grateful to the Adams County Highway Department and their effort to keep roadways clear and safe.
This ACCF grant was made possible through the unrestricted fund sponsored by the Daniel Niblick Community Enrichment fund.
