On Thursday, going to the Adams County Government Center will be difficult due to the installation of a new huge generator. The new generator is needed to run computers, air conditioning and heating systems, and other county equipment in case of power outages. The new equipment weighs several tons, and will take several hours to install. The work to install the new generator is scheduled to start at 5 am Thursday, and should be in place by around noon. Anyone with business at the Adams County Government Center might want to reconsider it on Thursday due to the congestion that will occur while crews install the new generator.
Meanwhile, County Engineer Nate Rumschlag told the Commissioners about a growing problem that’s been discovered in and around several local bridges…groundhogs! WZBD’s Ed Thurman spoke to Rumschlag about the problem and how he hopes to ease the effects of the big rodents…
