The Bellmont Braves ended the winter sports season at Bellmont High School with an emphatic victory over Jay County Friday night, crowning a Silver Arrow Queen at halftime and setting themselves up for a run at a sectional title next week.
Never allowing more than nine points in a quarter, the Braves smothered the Patriots on their way to a 60-39 victory to finish the regular season 20-4.
The Bellmont coaching staff was able to clear the bench in the fourth quarter and allow the home fans to applaud the seniors as they walked off the court for the final time.
Kord Fuelling led the team in his final home game with 18 points, while Jack Scheumann had 14.
Dylan Velez scored nine points for the Braves and Andrew James had seven. Job Hoffman knocked down three buckets for a six-point effort and Gavin Krull drained two shots from downtown for six himself.
