Claudia A. Liechty, 70, of Decatur, IN, barrel rolled through the gates of heaven on Sunday, February 18, 2024 at Parkview Regional Medical Center. Claudia was born on October 17, 1953 in Decatur to the late Norbert H. and E. Francile (Reidenbach) Bultemeier. On December 9, 1972, Claudia married Terry Liechty.
Claudia attended Pleasant Dale Church of the Brethren. She retired as an RN from Bluffton Regional Hospital. Her biggest joy in life was being with her family, supporting her grandkids, Sunday dinners and tending to her flowers. She had a smile and a laugh that could light up a room.
She is survived by Terry Liechty of Decatur; 2 sons, Benjamin (Rebeccah) Liechty of Decatur, and Luke (Amy) Liechty of Madison, IN; a daughter, Tammy (Nathan) Meyer of Decatur; 2 sisters, Deborah (David) Green and Pamela Hall both of Decatur; grandchildren, Taylor, Jayden, Adalynn, Anvalie, Finnegan, Ezra, and Emerson; her beloved nieces and nephews; her cat, Cora Sue that she never wanted, but fell in love with!
Claudia was preceded in death by her father, Robert C. Hall; sister, Tonna Thiele and niece, Kimberly Green.
Visitation will be from 2:00 – 7:00 p.m. Thursday, February 22, 2024 at Haggard-Hirschy & Zelt Funeral Home and from 9:00 – 10:00 a.m. Friday, February 23, 2024 at Pleasant Dale Church.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, February 23, 2024 at Pleasant Dale Church of the Brethren with Pastor Jay Carter officiating. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Dale Cemetery.
Preferred memorials are to Pleasant Dale Boutique.
