Christina (Tina) Faye Schwartz, (61) was called home to heaven by her “Boss” (God) on the evening of February 7th, 2024, surrounded by her adoring family.
June 15th, 1962, the world became significantly brighter with the birth of Tina Faye, aka Beanie, in Decatur, IN.
Tina graduated from Adams Wells Special Services Coop in 1983. She went on to attend and work at Bi County Services until her retirement in 2003. Tina was a music lover and participated in a traveling music group that performed in many area churches in her youth. She went on to join the Bi County Services band where she enthusiastically played the drums and sang.
Tina thoroughly enjoyed singing and was sure to always finish any performance, whether on a stage or in the passenger seat of a car, with “You hear me sing? I have a pwetty, pwetty voice.”
“Tina was naturally the most loving and joyful person. She was also incredibly funny and famous for her delivery of ‘Tina-isms’ and ‘one liner’s,’ many of which her family lovingly reference/use daily in their communications.
To know her was to love her and anyone who encountered her did just that, loved her. The power of a ‘Tina hug’ could melt away any stress or sadness. They were wholesome and healing and will be greatly missed by her family.”
Tina was surely greeted at the gates of heaven by her mother, Kaye Bender, and her stepfather, Steven Bender. Both preceded her on her arrival to heaven in June of 2023.
She is survived by her father, Chris Schwartz of Decatur, IN; Siblings, Laura Brantly (Bieberich) of Decatur, IN, Mark Schwartz of Decatur, IN, Steven Schwartz & Wife Debbie Schwartz of Decatur, IN, Michael Schwartz of Milan, MI, Melissa “Missy” Brames (Schwartz) of Spring Lake, MI, Christopher Schwartz of Celina, OH; Nieces/Nephews, Kelly Walker (Tarlton) & Husband Daniel Walker, Victoria Jackson (Tarlton) & Husband Doug Jackson, Kacie Schultz (Schwartz) & Husband David Schultz, Corey Schwartz & Wife Abby Schwartz, CJ Schwartz & Wife Lynsey Schwartz, Brandon Schwartz, Lacy Schwartz, Ryan Brames, Christopher Brames; Great Nieces/Nephews, Emily & Trevor Walker, Gianni Smyrniotis, Isabella & Marisol Jackson, Sawyer, Annabelle, Charlotte, & Tucker Schultz, Eleanor & Evelyn Schwartz, Fiona Schwartz, Kenadie Schwartz, & Chandler Voglewede.
