PRESS RELEASE
The Adams County Community Foundation (ACCF) is pleased to announce that The Hope Clinic recently received a grant from the Earl & Pam Johnson Fund for baby supplies. The Hope Clinic was able to purchase diapers, training pants, diaper wipes, bottles and sippy cups for The Hope Clinic Clients.
Becky Fahl, the Hope Clinic Office manager, expressed appreciation for the baby supplies, which will provide multiple families with necessary items for their babies. Cathy Stucky, ACCF Board member and grants committee co-chair, added that this type of community support is an example of the generous gifting of this lovely couple.
Earl and Pam Johnson wanted to do something special for our community. They contacted the ACCF when they were making their estate-planning arrangements. They had dreams of helping many, and they trusted the Adams County Community Foundation to follow through with these wishes.

Pamela S. Johnson, 63 (June 4, 1949-April 2, 2013) and Earl E. Johnson, 85, (June 21, 1934- April 20, 2020) were wonderfully generous to Adams County. Though legally blind, Earl Johnson did not allow this challenge to interrupt his walks around Decatur. Well-known in Decatur as a kind and loving spirit, he owned and operated Mi-La-Dee Beauty Salon for over 40 years. In 1974 he married his beloved Pam McCoy and they shared 38 years together. Pam worked for Do-It-Best Corporation for 44 years. They were active members of the Decatur Church of God and loved Adams County. Earl established various funds to return support to a community they so enjoyed. These are endowed funds, so an annual distribution will be made for these areas of support:
The Earl and Pam Johnson Cancer Fund designated to establish programs for cancer patients
Women Fund designated to establish programs for women
Young Patients Fund designated to establish programs young patients
Youth for Christ
and a fund to support education: Non-Traditional/On Track Scholarship Fund.
They also set up one-time contributions to go directly to: Church of God and Samaritan’s Purse.
The Earl and Pam Johnson grant to the Hope Clinic is just one example of a generous couple that continues to give after they are gone.
