The Adams County Jail & A Better Life-Brianna’s Hope are excited to announce that Dec. 5, 2023, at 1pm Adams County Jail offered Adams County women inmates their first ABLBH Support & Recovery Meeting. ABLBH is a participant driven, faith-based, compassion filled support and recovery movement for those affected by addiction. Our recovery efforts began in Jay County, IN on June 16, 2014. The Adams County Women’s ABLBH Chapter will be the 47th chapter to open. At this time, the weekly meetings are for women inmates only. For more information, please visit ablbh.org or contact the ABLBH office at 260-766-2006.
This is just another way the Adams County Sheriff’s office is trying new methods to assist in the recovery of inmates while they are incarcerated at the jail. This is a very positive approach to recovery, starting while incarcerated so that when they are released the people with SUDs have a program that they are familiar with and can continue their recovery without interruption. Most likely reducing the chances of reoffending.
