Bellmont’s opening loss at Woodlan seems like a distant memory as the team has reeled off five wins in a row and look to be a true contender in the area, although Norwell and Columbia City still have a stranglehold on the NE8. (East Noble and DeKalb are also a combined 11-2)
The Braves have one last non-conference game Monday night to prep for a run of games that sees coach Andy Heim’s team play three NE8 games in a span of four contests.
The Blackhawk Braves are coming off a lopsided, 50-point loss at home to Norwell last weekend.
Series History
These two schools have not played in recent years, with the last meeting coming back in 2017. Bellmont held Blackhawk to just 14 points on that memorable night.
Heim has won four in a row against Blackhawk, with the last defeat coming in Bellmont’s winless season of 2013-14.
