Jerry D. Grabau, 81, of Geneva, IN, passed away at 11:12 PM on Saturday, November 18, 2023 at his home in Geneva, IN. He was born on Wednesday, January 28, 1942, in Rochester, MN. He married Tonya Dee (Mosser) Grabau on Saturday, July 26, 1969 in Berne, IN. Jerry was a 1962 graduate of Spring Valley High School in Minnesota. He was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church in Berne where he served on various boards. Jerry was a professional truck driver for 50 years and had driven over 1 million miles. He served on the MRE Cemetery board and enjoyed woodworking and being on the farm watching the chickens, horses, and cows.
Jerry will be sadly missed by his Wife – Tonya Dee (Mosser) Grabau, Geneva, IN, Son – Chad Dale (Pam) Grabau, Berne, IN, Daughter – Robin Renee (Brian) Guzman, Salem, OR, Grandchildren – Jared Grabau, Berne, IN, Julia (Landis)Hollingsworth, Pendleton, IN, Josie Grabau, Berne, IN, Zach (Jordyn) Grabau, Decatur, IN, Kylie Grabau, Fort Wayne, IN, Austin Grabau, Savanah, GA, Viola Laufer, Los Angeles, CA, Hans Laufer, Fort Worth , TX, and Brother – Steve Grabau, Rochester, MN.
He was preceded in death by his Father – Leo Grabau, Mother – Olive (Mensink) Grabau, Son – Todd Grabau, Sister – Marlyce Grabau, and Brother – Jim Grabau.
Family and friends may gather to share and remember at the Trinity United Methodist Church located at 1217 Clark St. Berne on Saturday, November 25, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM. A Celebration of life will follow at 3:00 PM on Saturday, November 25, 2023 with the Rev. Barry Humble officiating.
