Mary “Rosie” Beauchot, 90, of Monroeville, Indiana passed away early Friday morning, November 17, 2023, at her daughter’s residence.
She was born on April 2, 1933, in Fort Wayne, Indiana to the late Samuel Ferraiolo and the late Mary (Schepis) Ferraiolo. Rosie was united in marriage to James “Jim” Beauchot on February 16, 1957, at St. Rose Catholic Church and he preceded her in death on November 3, 2016.
She was a member of St. Rose Catholic Church in Monroeville where she sang in the choir, and was a member of the Rosary Society. She was also a member of the Monroeville Community Choir for 40 years.
Rosie faithfully served her family as a homemaker.
Rosie loved her family and grandchildren; they were an important part of her life, and she enjoyed watching their activities Along with singing for the church and the Monroeville Community Choir she also sang for many weddings, Rosie loved to sing.
Survivors include five daughters, Judy (Charles) Irvin of New Haven, Indiana, Laurie (Kip) Amstutz of New Haven, Indiana, Karen (Robert) Hoffman of Wolcottville, Indiana, Linda (Joe) Martin of Monroeville, Indiana, and Lisa (Andy) Police of New Haven, Indiana; two sons, Gary Beauchot of Monroeville, Indiana and Mark (Susie) Beauchot of Fort Wayne, Indiana; 20 Grandchildren: Stephanie Kline; Jake Irvin; Brooke Hoverman; Daisy Beauchot; Samuel Beauchot; Jack Beauchot; Hilary Motta; Aubrey Curtis; Luke Hoffman; Robin Kovacs; Leah Fultz; Samantha Smith; Andrea Panyard; Adam Beauchot; Jessica Beauchot; Andrew Martin; Alex Martin; Evan Martin; Joselyn Martin; and Lucy Police; 24 great-grandchildren and three on the way.
Rosie was preceded in death by two sons, James Joseph Beauchot and John Philip Beauchot; and a sister Gloria Vowles.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 21, 2023, at St. Rose Catholic Church with Father Dennis DiBenedetto officiating. Burial will follow in St. Rose Catholic Cemetery in Monroeville.
Family and friends will be received from 1-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Monday, November 20, 2023, at the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Jacobs Chapel in Monroeville. The Holy Rosary will be recited at 4:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Preferred memorials can be given to St. Rose Church Restoration or Masses.
